Journal Spread with Painted Pages

In my visual journal, I often add in papers from various sources to create a background rather than painting directly onto the page. These pieces are leftover from some painting on paper that I cut down and adhered to a canvas. I am digging the colors and marks.

(There is only music with this video, no voice.)

The resulting journal page has some handwritten text added over the background. My kids are growing up and we are all together less and less. I miss them!

I usually create a background in my visual journal and then go back to it later for written journaling if I have something I want to capture from my own feelings, or maybe a point from a sermon or a quote.

The finished painting adhered to a 12x12” canvas is gorgeous! It is available for purchase. Send me a message to inquire.
